Karla and Miguel Parada are the owners and founders of Parada Modern LLC, doing business as Spaces by Design. The company officially opened to the public on August 4, 2023, following months of dedicated effort to develop an efficient and client-focused approach to e-design services.
Parada Modern operates as an online boutique furniture store, offering a curated selection of statement pieces for retail clients. Spaces by Design is the company’s interior design division, specializing in residential design projects.
Today, Karla and Miguel take pride not only in growing their brand but also in sharing their passion for design with the community. Karla brings over 15 years of combined experience in construction, interior design, and management, with a specialization in lighting, tile, flooring, and custom door systems. She leads and oversees both the sales and design departments. Miguel, an architect with more than 15 years of experience in the tech industry, manages the company’s technical operations.
